Lara is a London-based designer and illustrator, specialising in botanical watercolour, pen and ink drawings. Growing up in the English countryside, Lara spent her early years reading Beatrice Potter books in her mother’s exquisite garden – which she considers to have been the seedling of her creativity. Her artistic talent blossomed very naturally and went on to earn her a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins. After graduating, Lara attained a position with a leading international art dealership in London, where, over the course of the next six years, her nostalgic love of botany resurfaced and developed into an interest in medieval floral engravings and Victorian botanical studies. Lara now divides her time between her studio in North West London, where she turns her signature willowy illustrations to all manner of bespoke commissions and award-winning designs, and the Victorian Glass House in Kew Gardens, where she takes her daughter Riva to draw inspiration and to pass on her love of nature.Find out more
Conservation biologist Susy Paisley creates beautiful and unique fabrics and wallpapers imbued with nature. Inspired by years living in the Amazon Rainforest and her studies, Susy turned her talents towards design and launched her brand Newton Paisley in 2016. Each of her designs not only tell stories of neglected and endangered species but contribute towards the preservation of critical wild habitats; for every metre of fabric sold, one hundred metres squared of wild habitat is preserved through her collaboration with the World Land Trust.Find out more
